Pecan Smoked Honey Chicken

  • Marinade:
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh minced ginger
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 3-pound chicken, cut up
  • 1 tablespoon oak wood chips
  • 1 tablespoon Pecan Wood Chips

Combine onions, honey, soy sauce, ginger, and garlic in large bowl. Add chicken, mix well, and allow to marinate for 2 hours. Arrange oak and pecan wood chips and chicken in your stovetop smoker and place over a medium setting for 40 minutes. Check for doneness. May be crisped under broiler if desired by brushing lightly with remaining marinade. Great with stir-fry vegetables!
