You can also chill the block to use as a serving dish for cold appetizers. When you are done, simply allow the block to cool, wipe with a moist cloth, scrape any areas with food clean, dry, and store in a cool, dry place. Color may change during use- this is normal.     I am totally impressed with the Himalayan Salt Slab. We say this at a cooking expo last year and bought it for my mom this Mother’s Day. She has cooked on it 5 times (twice with me), and I am amazed at the taste and tenderness. We have cooked burgers on the slab, and we just made the patty out of ground beef, no seasoning and just put it on the slab and it was awesome, great taste and very tender.

    Same thing with the chicken, just place it on the Salt Slab and your are good to go. The chicken tasted like it was marinated for hours with all sorts of seasonings.

    I love this Salt Slab and we are getting one for ourselves. This size fits 4 smaller burger patties on it, and easily fits 2 large chicken breasts.

    This was a gift for my husband. He received a salt block from Florida and loved it so much, that he wanted another one. There is so much you can do with two. I see no difference between the salt blocks except this one was cheaper in price. I highly recommend purchasing a plate holder for the salt block, because it gets very hot and you will not be able to move it until it cools. My husband is the cook, but I reap the benefits. Dishes made on this are delicious..

    No cracks or breaks. I use the carrying tray and two foil wrapped bricks to protect the table. I bought 2 salt slabs so as one cooled down at the table, I had another hot and ready. Cooking on a salt slab at the table is fun and gets everyone involved in the meal. What ever protein you’re cooking needs to be patted dry and about 3/4″ thick. Great for putting a sear on veggies as well.
