Much better than others I have found elsewhere on Amazon or in my local Bed Bath & Beyond. Thicker and holds temperature much longer. I recommend to all that you try this great gel pack!

We love these because they are flexible, lightweight and stay cold for our lunchbox. We use an insulated lunchbox, and hate those hard as a rock plastic freezer packs. This one is big enough to sit on the bottom and allow our cold items to be distributed with everything that needs to stay cold touching it. That’s our primary use for them, but of course the flexibility and size make them great as a hot or cold compress for aching muscles too!

I have no need to heat this product, only use it for cold, so keep that in mind. It gets cold in the freezer quite a bit faster than I expected it to, but it does freeze to an only slightly movable flat mass, unless you are The Hulk. Also, you’ll want to keep that in mind when you put it in the freezer- make sure it is in there to freeze flat. I originally planned to use this on the back of my head and my neck to help with my headaches but as it didn’t mold very well, I tried it elsewhere. In the bottom of a cooler, it keeps things cold for waaaaaaaay longer than traditional ice or a few other cooler options I have used. I also tried out a picnic idea- I have two pyrex glass baking dishes (around 9×12 but one fits in the other) and when put between them it kept the upper dish cold very well, at least on the bottom. This is not exactly what I originally planned to use it for when I was offered the product at a discount for my honest review, but it is substantially made, I’m not afraid it is going to leak, and it really does freeze fast and keep things flat cold very well, so I am happy with this product.
